From time to time we receive comments and questions and have decided to open up the debate by making a selection of these public and, where appropriate, offer a response. Anonimity is protected if requested. Of necessity, some words have been ****'ed out. So without further ado, here we go. .....

[Abortion] - I think that this site is brilliant. It really is helpful and shows the reality of abortion and the murder behind the so called "simple procedure". I was already an anti abortionist before I went on this website, but seeing it made me even more against it. Before I did not know how to argue my point for being against abortion but now I do. Thank you for helping me, it has certainly changed the way i think and made me want to cherish life even more. - Emily

[Abortion] - Thanks so much for all the information on abortion, I'm in an English class at school and am doing a debate on abortion, with me strongly against. This site has been a great help. - Anon

[Abortion] - I just looking for a picture of a foetus for an assignment and stumbled over your site. I really love it. I haven't read heaps of it, but I love what I've seen so far, especially the way you refer to God, but not in a patronising way or anything. it's cool - Amanda

Thanks to all of the above for their positive and encouraging comments.

[Abortion] - I appreciate your views on a abortion. You must be male, because only a male would want to control the decision of a woman. You talk about being Christian, but was it not the Christians who would take their retarded or physically defected children out back and kill the little demons? Let things happen like they are suppose to happen, and stop yourselves from playing God. Anti-Abortionist do a lot of protesting and talk a good talk, but I have never seen one A-A offer to raise the child that a mother does not want. Hmmm! What is wrong with this picture! - Anon

So many things are off centre with this comment is is hard to know where to begin. You must be male. What a sexist comment. Anyway, we are a couple (i.e. male and female), who run the site. Christians kill their physically retarded children. Where ever did you get that one from? Traditionally it is Christians who refuse to 'terminate' their babies even knowing they may possible have deformaties. Never seen anti-abortionists offering to raise unwanted children? For many, many years it has been the Christian Church that has led the way in adoption, setting up agencies to find parents for unwanted children and it has been Christian families who have taken on children with mental and physical deformities when n obody else wanted to. So, what is wrong with this picture? The distorted lens you seem to be viewing Christianity through!

[Abortion] - No immediate help available for women who do not know what is going on with their bodies. You people are so out of date. Help people who are selling themselves short. Souls are lost and bewildered. We are all making mistakes everyday we are betrayed and confused. We all need heart to heart but medicine has moved faster than spiritual enlightenment - answers are not fast enough anymore. We are manoeuvred and running out of time simply by being alive. There is life and love beyond - may we earn forgiveness through our sorrows - Annabel

There is no help as such on the site as is not designed for counselling, put to raise issues and promote debate. A number of organisations offer help and counselling from many different ideological standpoints. Your local Yellow Pages can help. As to being out of not I think you'll find the opposite is true.

[Abortion] - I am a committed Christian however I felt disturbed by the confrontational stance you have taken. God grieves for the lives that are taken by abortion, but he also deeply cares for those that decide to take this action. I believe that we have a Christian duty to show the love of Christ to the lost, and that includes those who have had an abortion - Louise - UK

Yes, God does grieve, but, at times, even God is confrontational, sometimes extremely so!

[Abortion/General] - your site is brainwashing vulnerable people into believing the nonsense that you say. When people find themselves in a position whereby they have to make a hard decision this is not the kind of advice they need. I have some advice for you, if you show more sympathy for these women who are in need then they maybe able to make a clearer choice. Telling them that they are evil will only make people stop listening to you - a very disappointed reader.

As we say above, this is a site to promote debate and not a counselling service. Facing truth can sometimes be very painful, but does not make it any the less truth.

[Abortion] - I am only 14 and feel disgusted by abortion. My classmates are surprised I feel so strongly about an issue which is mainly discussed by adults. I feel that people my age should be more aware of this issue as it commonly involves young girls such as myself who have terminations without knowing the facts. A girl in my class has already had three abortions, and seems relentless. It makes me feel sick and very angry that she can carry on having unprotected sex with various males who obviously don't care about her, and use abortion as an easy way out. .Life begins at conception, not at birth. Keep up the good work on the website – Helen - UK

Stick to your guns Helen. It's never too young to make a stand for what is right.

[Cloning/Abortion] - Thank for the information on human cloning. I work in a state licensed medical clinic providing free exams, pregnancy tests and ultra-sounds to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. 90% of our patients change their minds once they see the image of their unborn child on the screen and choose life. A picture truly is worth a thousand words. I was just researching on the web for an article for our newsletter on cloning and found your site. Keep up the good work! Blessings! - Debbie

I think this proves that when people realise what the issue really is, then they often change their minds. Keep up your good work as well!

[Designer babies] - I was searching for views on 'designer' babies for some school work when I stumbled on your site. It is extremely interesting to read yours and others views on so many controversial subjects.

Many of your comments are very interesting and we have an agreement on some things, but as always there are a few differences of opinion! After reading some comments on abortion I wanted to send to you my thoughts on the subject. I do feel that with the option of abortion, our young girls are being brought to think that it is ok to have sex because if they should become pregnant they can have an abortion. It has become an easy way out. However I feel that we mustn't criticise people who have chosen to have an abortion it is always a hard decision and they need our support. Instead of attacking this procedure so important to some women in dealing with unwanted pregnancy, perhaps you could give support? - Anon

Thanks for your comments. We will continue to attack a procedure which destroys human life on an unprecedented scale. Of course, having an abortion is, for many, a heart rending decision, and there are a number of organisations set up to support people faced with these difficult issues; LIFE and CARE are two we would recommend.

Can I ask you something? How exactly do you type in Lesbian Porn and get this page?! If you can explain that I'd be very grateful. Until then, back to porn and masturbation! - Anon

There, that was worth the wait wasn't it? OK, the answer is in the metatags used to allow search engines to catalogue a site. If you type in "lesbian porn", there is a chance you will also get our site and have the opportunity to consider a different world view. [General] - I think this one of the best websites I have been on, because it informs you of many things that are not spoken out loud for some people. Many parents don't open up to their children and they don't explain many things - Gabriela

Interesting point: education should begin in the home. Too many parents are either unable or unwilling to accept their responsibilities for their children, rather leaving it to school and the state to pick up the slack, often when it is too late.

[General] - First of all you contradicted yourself when you said the Creator became a human man, only later to say that Jesus is God's son. Perhaps you should read Isaiah 42 and Hebrews as well as countless other scriptures that disprove your theory of a trinity. Secondly, if you were Christian you would also take heed of the command to have "no graven images". I am disgusted to say the least about that image you have shown. This is a very ignorant site - anon

The whole point about the 'incarnation' was that the Divine became Flesh. I think you've misunderstood the command referring to 'graven images'. Having just left Egypt, with all of it's graven gods, the last thing the children of Israel needed was statues raised to God. Just look what happened when they started making golden calves! It is true that representations of Jesus can become idols, and it is an area we must be wary about.

[Homosexuality] - I have alot of friends who are gay and I totally support them. I think your views of gay are totally wrong. Instead of supporting them and applauding them for being honest with themselves and their families you seem to be critising them. Do you have any friends or know of anyone who is gay? I bet you, you dont and if you did you would feel awkward around them some people are like that but gays are people just like us! I believe that some people hold hatred against gays because they are afraid! Its that fear behind the hatred! Please post this on ur site cus its my opinion! thanx! - Eve

Hi Eve, you loose your bet! I (The Curious Webmaster) have a number of friends who are gay; have worked closely with people who are HIV positive and had an uncle who was gay (past tense as he is now dead). He was a really nice person.

*One* of the the questions we are raising is about the actions of certain militant homosexuals who parade their sexual orientation. I know gays who flounce into a room and announce that they are gay. When I enter a room the last thing I would even consider doing is announcing my sexual orientation because it is of no concern to anyone.

There are questions to be asked about anyone who wishes to be treated as a respected member of society, and yet who insist upon parading their "differences".

Of course there are a number of reasons that people behave the way that they do. Many of these reasons have little to do with sexual orientation and more to do with how they feel about themselves as people, and to do with the barriers we erect around ourselves, both emotional, psychological and, sometimes, physical to protect ourselves from real or perceived threats. Thanks for taking the time to write.

[Homosexuality] - Are you proud of yourselves? I should hope so. Your website is deeply offending and incredible old-fashioned and completely over the top. As it happens, I'm gay. Why are you so prejudiced against us? Isn't the whole point of Christianity that we should be allowed FREEDOM OF CHOICE?? People like you make me sick. You're so blinded by your own self-righteous prejudice you refuse to believe what is right before your eyes. - Windrider

well, er .... thank you for that well measured and reasoned argument. Let's clear up one or two points. Having an opinion about homosexuality (the lifestyle) does not infer prejudice against any person, indeed, nowhere on the site is this inferred - if you read it properly of course! If you believe that the whole point of Christianity is freedom of choice, then I should be able to choose to be prejudiced against homosexuals without you raising a complaint. Incidentally, the whole point about Christianity is NOT about freedom of choice as used in the above comment.

[Homosexuality] - I just read your bulls**t section on Gay people, if your so wonderful church is so damn good and true, why the f***ing hell are your own damn Vicars & Ministers stealing and sexual abusing young boys.

The bible is so full of bulls**t, why people still believe is far beyond me.

It's people like you that cause all the wars in the world, all the major wars of our times have been caused through religion, and all the anti gay feeling comes from your out dated rantings and websites like this. There is a right to free speech but, when that free speech causes death to innocent people that right should be taken away. Post this on your website - Shaun (A Pufta & Proud Of It)

OK - we have posted this on our website - happy now? Probably not!

[Homosexuality] - I have to congratulate shaun (the 'pufta') on his email on homosexuality. I don't understand the problem people have with the fact there are homosexuals in this world and I dont believe for a second that God would shut them out for a second. Surely the Bible talks about equality? Are homosexuals not just the same as us as black people are? It is about time homosexuals were treated with more respect it takes a lot of courage to be proud enough of who you are to admit to something so many people are uncomforatble with. Did you not know that they say people who are homophobia are probably themselves gay? When will you stop attacking these people? (and no I'm not gay) - Anon

Interesting phrase that you use there. "Are homosexuals not just the same as us as black people are". In a biblical sense, no. The Bible does not say being black is a sin. We are not attacking people, only practices, and if you read the site properly you would have seen this.

[Jesus] - I took your quiz and was surprised that Jesus was the most influential person in all history. It seems to me that Ghandi's constant self sacrifice and strong will that had the power to free a nation of half a billion from tyranny makes him more important than Jesus. Jesus was a cool guy and all, but he didn't really DO anything great, he just WAS great. Just because he had a powerful dad doesn't mean he should be the most influential. - Mike

True, Ghandi was a great man, and, interestingly enough, modelled his life on many of the teachings of Jesus, especially the, Sermon on the Mount. As to Jesus not doing anything great, let's see; he raised the dead, cast out demons, healed the sick... shall we go on? And of course, last but not least, died for our sins and was raised from the grave and is alive today. Beat that Ghandi!

[Jesus] - Did Jesus know that He is/was God when he was still alive? - Nilo

The Bible is very clear that Jesus did know he was God's Son; meaning he was Divine, that he was eternal, and that he was God.

Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am", [John 8:58] thus not only staking his claim to being an eternal being, but also saying he was 'I AM', the very name used by the Father when he spoke to Moses; "I Am that I Am" [Exodus 3:14]

When Jesus confronted the demons, they declared, "You are the Christ the Son of God" [Luke 4:41]

Jesus said, "My Father is always at work......the Jews tried even harder to kill him because....he was even calling God his own Father thus making himself equal to God." [John 5:17-18]

The interesting point about that last reference is that the Jews knew exactly what he was claiming. They considered it blasphemy to claim to be God, and that is why they wanted to kill him.

[Junk Mail] - Love the "Stop the junk mail" pages - here's a tip that was given to me by a teacher back in my school days: When you get a bit of junk mail that has a freepost envelope in it, save it and put all your other junk mail in it. When it's full, simply seal it and post it off to the people who sent it to you! Okay, it doesn't help to stop junk mail but it makes you feel a whole lot better AND if the freepost envelope is heavy enough, Royal Mail will ask the company to pay an excess delivery charge on it - Fishboy

Ah - so satisfying!

[New Age]

Here's an email from "anon". This is about the third email this person has sent, so here it is.

Why haven't you published my comment? I think it is important for you to realize when you are wrong, just like Goddess in Training. I quoted it from your page on New Age; it says that all the New Age hype is Satan's deceit. She was right, you called her a devil worshipper. Fess up. Confession is good for the soul.

We believe that all the New Age hype is Satan's deceit. Secondly, we are under no obligation to publish anyone's comment, but do so because we are fair-minded. And for the final time, we have not called anyone a devil worshipper. The phrase ONLY occurs in your own comments! If what we say doesn't please everyone, which of course it won't, they are free to put their own website together to publish their own beliefs and world view.

[New Age]

This comment from, "goddess in training", has a number of issues which need answering. We have edited the length slightly as it was very long....

You people are so dumb. People like you are the reason I left Christianity. Don't give me that," You gave up on Jesus" b******t. I realized how many times the bible contradicts itself. Have you read the entire thing? Probably not. I read it all the way through and even prayed before I left the religion.

OK - as it happens I have read the Bible cover to cover, more than 10 times.

So here are my issues with your website.
1. Pagans are NOT devil worshipers. The devil was a creation of Christianity, therefore, how could we worship him? By the way, this is a good way to p*** a Pagan off. Don't EVER call Pagans Satanists again.

We didn't, if you'd have bothered to read the page properly you would know this.

2. How could a God that "loves everyone" not allow "anyone with a defect come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; no man with a crippled foot or hand, or who is hunchbacked or dwarfed, or who has an eye defect, or who has festering sores or damaged testicles. Leviticus 21:18-20"

You may have read the Bible through, but you haven't understood that the Levitical laws you refer to were there to impress upon an ignorant and disobedient people that God is Holy.

...call for the raping of women (Numbers 31:17),

Not in my Bible - maybe you have the Pagan edition?

...command the killing of innocent people simply because they don't worship him (I mean sure, Jezzi was a bitch, but only according to the men who wrote the bible 2 Kings 10:19-30), and, my biggest point, kills prophets even though Joseph was one!

No reference for this one so difficult to offer a comment without the context.

"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in fire, who practices divination (prophets predicted Jesus's coming!) or sorcery, INTERPRETS OMENS (oh Joseph...), engages in witchcraft or cast spells (I'm going to hell then. Oh wait, that's right, I don't believe in hell!), or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does this is DETESTABLE to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord will drive out those nations before you." Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Yes, that's what it says, what's your point? Oh, it's that you don't agree? Well that's your right. By the way, 'divination' was not the same as 'prophecy' in this context and Joseph's ability to interpret dreams was a gift from God. Of course, you knew that really didn't you?

...oh, and one last thing, I assume that some of your teachers growing up were female? well, you'll see them in hell. "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair (a lot of little girls are going to hell) or gold or pearls or expensive clothes (no birthday presents from K** Jewellers then?), but with good deeds..... A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived and became a sinner. But women will be saved through child-bearing-if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety." 1 Timothy 2:9-15

Again, that's what it says. What it doesn't say that you will go to hell (which you don't believe in anyway) for wearing jewelry.

You know, I try not to bash any religion, but you bashed mine first. As a Pagan I am disgusted with you. The world is disgusted with you. Gandhi (who by the way is in hell because he was not a Christian) once said, "I respect the Christian faith. I would be a practicing Christian...if it weren't for the Christians." Sorry for the cussing, I am trying to quit. You can have your God, just keep him away from my Gods. - Goddess in Training

We haven't 'bashed' your religion; told you to stop practicing it; said you would go to hell. We have offered our opinion, backed by what the bible says. You are free to disagree with that opinion - which you do - and we've even published you opinion for all to see.

As for Gandhi, or anyone else for that matter, it is not for anyone to say whether someone has gone to Heaven or Hell, whatever our views of them might be. We are in no real position to judge eternal issues.

As the saying goes... 'you can't please everyone'.

[Sin] - What do you do if you have sinned but don't know if god will forgive you????? Does it matter if you aren't a catholic but still believe in god - Anon

The reason Jesus died on the cross was to take away the power of Sin. Once you acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Saviour, you receive forgiveness for your Sin. Of course, being human, and not yet perfect, we do still fall into sinful ways and do wrong things. The Bible acknowledges this...

The apostle John wrote these words to fellow Christians, "If we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves...if we confess our sine he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness...... if anyone does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defence, Jesus Christ.... he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins". 1 John chapter1 verse 8 to chapter 2 verse 1.

So you can KNOW God will forgive because he says he will, and God does not lie.

I would suggest you check out what the Bible has to say about the work Jesus did and I think you will see that you can be certain the God does forgive if we confess. In passing, this confession is to God, we have direct access to the Father through the Son and do not need to 'confess' to anyone else to get forgiveness.

Of course, sometimes we think it is too big for God, but if that were true than God would not be God. Also, it can sometimes be hard to forgive ourselves, and deal with the guilt, but God can, and does, take that away as well. What God will not do, usually, is take away the repercussions of our actions. For instance, if we were to do something which resulted in the death of another, God is unlikely to undo that, and although He would forgive us if we confess, it doesn't make the dead person alive again (although God can raise the dead!).

We are responsible beings and must accept the results of our actions and face whatever consequences that arise..

Denominations are irrelevant. God isn't interested in whether you go to a Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical, Free, Brethren, Baptist, URC or any of the hundreds of others type of building to worship. The thing that matters is whether YOU acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and that you are walking with GOD. If you have, and are, then you receive eternal life by the regeneration of your spirit through God the Holy Spirit and you become part of the CHURCH in a Biblical sense - the world-wide community of God's people.
