| The Old New Age Deceit |
|
Have you ever wondered why, in what is supposed to be a rational age, so many people are embracing what can only be described as old fashioned paganism and superstition? The first most of us heard about the New Age was on April 15th. 1982 when an advert appeared in newspapers everywhere informing us that, 'The Christ is now here and has been living in a well known city since July 1977', (later we were told that this was London). There had been some reference in the Hippy musical 'Hair' to the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, and in the mid 80's Mind, Body and Spirit Festivals were organised under the title 'New Age'. Isn't it interesting to see how many of these New Age activities are also anti-christian? These festivals were a smorgasbord of witchcraft, Eastern mysticism, UFO's, vegetarianism, animal rights, Friends of the Earth, satanism and other occult derived beliefs, some of which openly advocated animal sacrifice. Point of interest: Often there were no Ouija boards at New Age Festivals as they were considered dangerous and it was admitted that the spirit which is raised by these couldn't be controlled.
The Bible clearly refers to the existence of such spirits which are seeking to destroy mankind. Adam and Eve's sin was to seek a form of knowledge which God had forbidden and the horrific consequences are with us to this day.
New Agers often talk of someone who is coming in the future, and they are right. Someone is coming, but not who they think! New age ideas are nothing more then Satan's age old ideas. Check it out and you'll see that this is correct. Jesus the Messiah had ,without doubt, an understanding unknown by anyone else and only the Bible gives any real understanding as to why the world is in the mess it is and how things may be put right. The answer is NOT, 'New Age'. Check out the little quiz for enlightenment. To ignore the real answer is to thumb our noses up at God. |
