Jan's Place

The big thing in my life at the moment is my age. I've just had my 48th birthday. But at least I don't feel that old. I started my working life in an office making tea and filing. Progressing through until I became a secretary.

If you want to imagine what I am like think of a cat:

  • I like my food but I'm fussy about what I eat.
  • Sleeping in warm spots is great. I try to avoid doing too much. And lounge around.
  • I don't often show my claws but when shown they can be quite sharp.
I started my working life in an office making tea and filing. Progressing through until I became a secretary. After, I went toThe Birmingham Bible College. Now I work part time cleaning, but am also able to give time aside for people - most important - as well as keeping plenty of time for my husband, Dave and Son, Joel.
Here's our ex-borrowed cat. we called her Shadow but she had other names that her other "owners" gave her. Sadly she was run-over in 1998 - very sad. She used to come in our house when she needed some sleep or food. We do miss her a lot, still, but since she went some of the other cats around us have started to visit - opportunists one and all! One of my favourite places is the Isle of Wight where I went as a child on holiday. Since then I have visited it many times and lived there for three years(85-88), at the Medina Valley Centre. The Island has wonderful beaches, coves, coloured sand, countryside, villages sailing swimming-so many favourite things we just have to stay there once a year.
Another of my interests is Israel and things Jewish. My Grandfather was Jewish so I have some Jewish blood. My big ambition was to one day visit Israel, and in 1997, our 25th anniversary year WE DID!. Minora picture
When we first moved to Wirral in 1988 we went to Maitland Evangelical Church, in Oxton, Birkenhead where we stayed until October 1999.

We were then involved in a new fellowship, The River of Grace Community, for a year, but are 'taking a break' and re-thinking all about 'church'.
