We're the Peddie family living in the United Kingdom, in an area of the North-West called Wirral in a town called Birkenhead. The Wirral is an official peninsula (exciting eh!) on the other side of the River Mersey opposite the famous town of Liverpool (Beatles, Merseybeat etc.). But more about the geography of the place on our page about Where we live.
We are; Dave (who's writing this lot), Jan, my wife and Joel, our son. We've lived up here since 1988, but Jan and I are both Londoners by birth. Joel, however, was born in Birmingham, West Midlands (U.K.) and as a consequence supported Aston Villa football team initially, but has converted to Manchester United over the last few years. |
This is our place.

We all have our own sections and there is more about us there. So why put ourselves on the 'net? Why not? Certainly not an ego thing, but we thought it would be nice to stake our own claim in the virtual New World and say hello at the same time. In a way, it's all part of the breaking down of barriers and getting on with the serious business of communication. This hopefully leads to better understanding and a reduction in the stupidity of difference. We strongly believe, as have many great men and women down the ages, that we are all created equal by God. We are all different, obviously, but this should not be a problem, although in so many situations it is - sadly. There's a lot of talk about 'one world' and the Internet is part of that, and indeed, may be one of the truest expressions of it that currently exists. Like the real world there is good and bad in the virtual world. Pornography is still to easy for young and interested eyes to find, and there are all kinds of people expressing all kinds of opinions, inhabiting all kinds of places. But in that sense it is merely a relection of the real world. We all have to learn how to negotiate the perils and pit-falls of the real world to grow and mature. Likewise the virtual world. We don't agree that the virtual world is some aweful place which should be abandoned as beyond hope. It is this philosophy, applied for the better part of the last half century, which has given us a legacy of Godless media. Get involved and be, "...salt and light...".
