She married Hugh Aitken on 29 Sep 1874. They had a daughter, Annie Coats Garroway Aitken (b. 13 Dec 1876 d. May 1942). She married Robert Moffat Gilmour on 22 June 1906. They had two children, Anne Coats Peddie Gilmour and James Gilmour.
