Kim Peddie (was Vale)

My GGG Grandfather was Robert Peddie who married Janet Stratton in 1791(Scone).He had 10 children, all born in Scone between 1792 & 1809: Jean, William, Catherine, Christian, David, ROBERT, Giorsal (or Grace), Charles, Janet, Stewart.

My GG Gt.grandfather,also Robert Peddie,(a joiner/carpenter) married Mary Ann Holdforth in 1824(Scone). Their children, all born in Scone (1826-1842)were: Charles Inches, John Ross, David, Robert, Lillias, Mary Ann or Margaret, & William. The family moved to Perth.

My G Grandfather, William Peddie, married Margaret Hutchison in 1864(Scone).He was a baker,as was one of his brothers; two more were blacksmiths. His children were: Ann, born Scone 1865, Robert, born Perth,1869, Elizabeth, born Edinburgh 1872, Thomas Hutchison, born 1874, Margaret, born 1878, William, born 1879, the last three in Inveresk/Musselburgh where he had a baker's shop. He later moved the family back to Scone,(without my grandfather) & later still had a baker's shop in Crieff.

My Grandfather, Robert Peddie, was a merchant seaman,(ship's cook)who died in 1917, aged 47. He married Jane Smith in Liverpool, & had 6 children: the youngest & only son was my father, Robert Arthur Peddie who was born in 1911 in Salford.

My Grandfather's brother,Thomas Hutchison Peddie,was an artist/illustrator in London, & I have found some published examples of his work.
