Richard Monk

I am looking for information on any descendants of Charles PEDDIE and Elizabeth MONK. Charles was from Perthshire (censuses report both Kinnoull and Perth) and was a soldier, later a Chelsea Pensioner.

Elizabeth was from Longparish, Hants.

The couple lived in Windsor and various places in London. They retired to Longparish.

Data for Charles and Elizabeth follow:

Charles PEDDIE, born abt 1829, Perth. Died after 1881.
Elizabeth MONK, born 1834, Longparish. Died after 1881.

The couple married about 1858. I have four children for the family, but there may be others. Those I know of are:

• Eliza Jane PEDDIE, born 1860, Windsor. She may have died in 1863.
• Mary Ann PEDDIE, born 1870, Windsor; died 1871.
• William Charles PEDDIE, born 1872; died 1887.
• Robert John PEDDIE, born 1876. He may have been living in Northumberland in 1901.
