My Grandfather was John Peddie who I believe to have originated from Forgue, an area near Huntly in Aberdeenshire. He was the "Grieve" (being todays equivalent of manager) of the "Great Drumdelgie" which was the largest farm in that area of that period. He had two families with eight offspring to each and all were big powerfull men of sixteen stone and over, four of whom were killed in WW1.
My Fathers was Alexander (Sandy) and born at Drumdelgie, Huntly, on 8th March 1903 and married Maggie McGillivary born at glenlivet 13th July 1906. Also, the Reverend Cameron Peddie was an uncle of my father and a faith healer in Glasgow and wrote a book called "Healing Hands".
