Dead Good

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Death seems to be a good career move,
at least for these chart toppers who all
acheived UK No. 1's after breathing their last.
Buddy Holly: "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" on April 24th 1959.
Holly died in an air crash on 3rd February of that same year.
Eddie Cochran: "Three Steps To Heaven" in June 1960.
Cochran died in a car crash on 17th April that year.
Jum Reeves: "Distant Drums" in September 1966.
Reeves died in a plane crash on 31st July 1964.
Jimi Hendrix: "Voodoo Chile" in November 1970.
He chocked to death in the previous September.
Elvis Presley: "Way Down" in September 1977.
A month earlier he died from a heart attack.
John Lennon: "(Just Like) Starting Over", "Imagine" and "Woman" in Dec/January 1980/81.
He was shot dead on December 8th 1980.
Jackie Wilson: "Reet Petite" in December 1986.
Wilson died 2 years previously, but his record first entered
the charts on 15th November 1957, which must make it
the slowest climber of all time?
Freddie Mercury: "Living On My Own" in August 1993.
The singer died in November 1991.
