From the book of proverbs in the Bible ....
  • Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3 verse 5)

  • For a man's ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all his paths (Prov. 5:21)

  • When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. (Prov. 11:2)

  • Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a woman who shows no discretion. (Prov. 11:22)

  • Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. (Prov. 17:14)

  • Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent. (Prov. 17:28)

  • An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city. (Prov. 18:19)

  • It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way. (Prov. 19:2)

  • Better to live on the corner of the roof, than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. (Prov. 21:9)

  • Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (Prov. 22:6)

  • Do not boast about tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring forth. (Prov. 27:1)

  • He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. (Prov. 28:27)
